Working as a Competitive Intelligence analyst, I am able to see Competitive Intelligence as an important organ in the business body. Wikipedia defines CI as ‘The action of defining, gathering, analyzing, and distributing intelligence about products, customers, competitors and any aspect of the environment needed to support executives and managers in making strategic decisions for an organization.’ Competitive Intelligence reports are mainly prepared for a product that a company might be offering. Not restricted to this, there are market reports, company profile analyses and many others that a CI Analyst prepares for his company.
