Booking App for Taxis and Chauffeured Transportation

Client Profile

The client provides one of Asia Pacific’s largest chauffeur and transfer booking services for ground transportation. Years of experience in the industry has made them the only ground transfer booking service trusted by the local travel industry and by major travel companies for their passengers.

Project Overview

The client had a centralized booking service enabled by a suite of web and mobile products. They wanted QBurst to enhance their core mobile native apps and incorporate a new user interface (UI) design for a better user experience. We incorporated a new screen with enhanced features for the client’s taxi and limo booking application. The application we built guarantees a pick-up with hundreds of drivers on standby. Fares for the journey are calculated upfront and there are support staff for assistance at all times. The app is safe to use and very reliable.

Business Challenges

  • The client’s previous app had a UI that looked disorganized and confusing.
  • The features were not arranged in a logical way, resulting in poor user experience (UX).
  • The app lacked an efficient response system for booking requests.

QBurst Solution

We developed a solution which offered automated dispatch management to the client’s fleet of drivers. Booking can be managed centrally using the client’s booking portal. Users can book taxis, chauffeur-driven vehicles, executive cars, or SUVs from anywhere. On booking, the app sends pick-up alerts and driver’s contact details to the user. Users can customize the app by adding or removing favorite routes and drivers. The app also offers free flight monitoring with ‘meet and greet’ service on all limousine airport transfers.

  • User Interface: QBurst performed a thorough UX analysis on the design and presented a contemporary UI design for the apps.
  • Map Navigation: A simple to use map navigation feature was incorporated.
  • Feature Flow: A detailed analysis was done for each feature.
    • Each booking type was separated and given separate screen flows, to help users understand what each screen is about.
  • Vehicle Type: The trip fare page provides a selection of vehicles which included standard and luxury cars.
  • Discount Coupons: A coupon feature was introduced to help users get discounts while making a booking.
  • Guaranteed Response: The app dispatches the booking request directly to the handsets of hundreds of formally accredited drivers, ensuring a quick response.
