The client is a Dubai-based Media and Advertising company, which covers business news in the Middle East and Asia through its business news community website.
Project Overview
The client launched an online Swedish magazine in 2004, which caters to small and medium-sized businesses. It serves as a social platform that enables readers to have their ideas and stories packaged and shared with journalists, bloggers and business-world influencers via its social web. The application we built for the client lets mobile users access relevant and entertaining news published in the magazine, on-the-go. The application supports both English and Swedish. Users automatically see news feeds for their selected region.
Business Requirement
The client wanted us to develop applications for their mobile reader base, making relevant and entertaining news easily accessible to smartphone users.
QBurst Solution
QBurst built the mobile applications for popular platforms such as BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android, and Symbian with bilingual compatibility. These apps were designed to better address the needs of users such as small business owners who constantly need reliable and up-to-date information.
Development of Applications
We developed native rescue applications for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry platforms using iPhone SDK, Android SDK, and BlackBerry NDK. We used Objective C for iPhone, and Java as the coding language for Android and BlackBerry platforms. SQLite database was used for offline storage.
