QBurst designed and developed a mobile application that keeps parents and school administrators informed about school activities. The application, developed for iOS and Android, targets two types of users—school administrators/staff and parents.
The application helps parents and school administration track student performance, homework completion, school events, and more. All options are clearly displayed on the home screen as clickable list items. For admin users, the application provides the same functionalities in a broader perspective. The application can be white-labeled, and can be easily customized to meet the needs of any educational institution.
The solution was built for iOS and Android devices. The app includes logins for parents and school administration. A one-time login requires users to enter their registered phone number. Once logged in, users are taken to the home page, which displays navigation to pages that contain daily notices, gallery, events calendar, and progress report, among others. The application for parents stores details of the student in a local database making the app more responsive. Push notifications are used to send new messages.
Design and development was planned in an agile manner, taking into consideration inputs and feedback from the client throughout the development process. We recommended native apps as they offer greater security. The app was developed to be intuitive keeping usability in mind. A major highlight of the app’s UI is its elegant and classy design.
