Hackathon ’24, organized by QBurst Chennai, brought to light the participants’ creativity and problem-solving skills.

The dawn-to-dusk coding competition featured six teams. Each team could choose from four themes: Gamification, Gen AI, Blockchain, and Augmented Reality. Prior to the main event, teams were presented with a CTF challenge. Ganga Manivarnan from Code Nodes successfully solved the challenge, giving her team a time advantage. 

Team THE BOYS (Gopi Mahendran, Aviral Patel, Sam Joseph D, and Abhijith Hari S) won the top spot for an email interface design that enhances user interaction with emails. They demonstrated how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to condense lengthy messages, enabling users to grasp key points quickly. 

Team Hackachino (Rizwanaa M A, Durrah Ismail Nasir, Arun Prasad V, and Rathika Venkatesan) claimed second place with their augmented reality (AR) app. The app utilizes AR to improve online classes by enabling instructors to present 3D models or animations that students can view alongside the live video of the instructor.

The first and second-prize winners will be awarded Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5000 respectively. Rashik Rahman from Team Access Denied earned a special mention for his excellent presentation.
